Hello and welcome to my personal site.

I was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I am currently based in Cape Town, the most beautiful city in the world.

The Alistair Andrews Project is made up of some of Africa's Top Musicians. Most of the members are working with their own bands as well. The music is from Africa, but the sound is global.

I am specializing in 6 and 12 string bass and prefer fretless instruments.

As a professional bass player I performed with international greats such as Phil Driscol, Efrain Toro, Alvin Dyers, Winston Mankunku, Merton Barow, Errol Dyers, Robbie Jansen and Harold Jephta.

I am also involved at one of Africa's top Jazz and African music programs at The University of Cape Town.

I am working most of the time with legendary guitarist Alvin Dyers's band, featuring Denver Fernes on drums.

About My Music

I personally love most styles of music. My favorite music is: Jazz, African, World-music, Funk and Latin.

I released an Album "Your Unconditional Love " in 2000. This album I dedicated to God. He gave me the gift of music and deserves all the Glory.

My latest Album "Rainbow Music" will be released in 2008. South Africa has such a lot of different cultures. That is why we are called the Rainbow Nation. My music is the sum of all my influences.

Every Monday after 9PM Club021 in Wetton comes alive with the Swingers Jazz Jam. People from all over the world come to experience the cream of the crop of South Africa's Pro and up and coming musicians. International great such as Joe Sample and Avishai Cohen, also made appearances at Swingers on a Monday.
